Add CSS animations easily with Animista

Animista is a web resource that allows you to test and experiment with a variety of different CSS animations before adding them to your web site. The site presents you with a menu of different animations; you can select the one you want, refine it using a set of menus and see what it will look like before downloading it.

CSS animations made simple

CSS animations are a great way to add visual interest to your web site, but testing them out can be a time-consuming process. Animista simplifies this with its easy menu system. Along the top of the screen, you'll see a menu of different animation types, which you can scroll through using the mouse or arrow keys. Once you highlight an animation, you can select a subtype. Along the left-hand column you'll see menu properties that allow you customise the animation's duration, delay and more, while in the central pane the animation itself displays, showing you what the final product will look like. Once you've found one you like, you can download it. The interface is easy to use, although there is a little room for improvement -- for instance, it's not obvious why the heart icon means "download."

A handy tool for animation

If you're interested in adding CSS animation to your site, Animista is a valuable resource that could save you some effort.
